Wong Kar Wai's The Grandmasters [Trailer]

I used to be a huge Wong Kar Wai fan, but my interest in his films began to wane around the time 2046 came out (and he parted ways with his longtime cinematographer, Christopher Doyle). He's an amazing director, but the lack of a cohesive narrative in his films began to feel more like like a glaring weakness that just a style.



I'm not exactly sure what's going on here, but there seems to be a narrative at play and Wong's visuals looks as stylish as ever. I might be back on the Wong Kar Wai bandwagon...I'm really looking forward to this one...

Killing Them Softly Trailer

Killing Them Softly reunites Brad Pitt and director Andrew Dominik for Dominik's second feature. I'm totally stoked for this one. Pitt and Dominik did the criminally slept on The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford 5 years ago and I've been waiting for Dominik to get another chance ever since. The trailer looks really promising.

The trailer also features a dope Johnny Cash song from American IV that borrows a bit from Leadbelly's classic, "There's A Man Goin Around Takin Names". You can check out both versions below:
